When I was in graduate school at Clemson University, I had two pretty disparate tracks of study: marketing for non-profits and usability testing for consumer PCs. The marketing piece drew me to the program in the first place but a generous full-ride scholarship sponsored by a PC manufacturer paid the bills. 

After a successful career in the software industry including being part of the “dot-com boom” in Seattle from the beginning, I now have almost 20 years’ experience in the field of online communications. Since moving to Colorado in 2002, I transitioned back into non-profits, then to academia, then to technical marketing. 

In 2011, I began working as a freelancer full-time. I have a wide range of experience in my writing and content design work.
